How To Troubleshoot No Power Computer

Guys here are the tips on how to troubleshoot if your computer has no power

1. Check first the Power Source/Supply. It could be the following:
*AC power plug- try to test the main power source if it's really supplying a current by plugging another             device. If it's working then proceed to next identifier which is the UPS/AVR
*UPS/AVR- check if the UPS or AVR is still functioning or not. You can identify it by seeing if the LED        or light emitting diode is on or becomes visible green. If it's "ON" then it means it's not the one causing the      problem.
2. If the above mention is functioning well then you can proceed checking the System Unit. Before opening       the "system unit" make sure that you unplug the power cable, wear anti-static wrist wrap or constantly           ground yourself in an unpainted parts of the computer. Remove the power cables that supplies to  the             motherboard then by using a multi-tester you can check if there is a voltage coming out or if you don't           have  a multi-tester you can use a paper clip then connect the color "black" and "green" wires and when         the Fan     revolve it means there's a current coming out and it means your power supply is ok.
3. If above mentions are good but still there's no power supply, it means the cause of the problem is the            Motherboard then it is advised that you will buy new motherboard.

I hope it helps you folks...If you have any concern regarding troubleshooting just feel free to ask...It's my pleasure to help you guys...

Rex
